0.6.2 is released!
By: darkrose
Well it's been a while since the last (and first) release, but there is some progress here. Features of this release include:
The system boots and is usable in Internet Explorer and Opera, as well as Firefox. I haven't been able to test it in Safari though (if someone can try it and get back to me it would be appreciated).
New modular kernel, this allows for browser detection and loading of custom modules to improve cross browser compatibility.
Added some new commands: mkdir, cd, touch
ls got a bit of a clean up too.

The number one bug at the moment is in Internet Explorer (of course): pressing backspace causes the browser to go back to the previous page. The problem is either in getty or bash, but I haven't been able to track it down yet.

So go have a look at the system here, and you can download the WebLinux Source (28.2KB | downloads: 661) if you wanna look at and/or play with it.

Now it's a case of hunting down the IE backspace bug, then full steam ahead for getting X working and implementing a desktop.

does not work in AppleWebKit (Safari and Google Chrome) - it stops after printing the following:

Grub: Loading the kernel...
webLinux 0.2

Also this textbox is horrendously annoying, it deletes my text whenever I focus on it (with no undo).
